Located in the heart of Umhlanga Ridge, you will find this modern, comfortable 91sqm apartment on the ground floor. Sized with generously proportioned space all around, the apartment presents excellent value for money. Outdoor spaces feature a delightful rooftop Pool & BBQ/Braai area on the 6th floor with a spectacular 360-degree view of the surroundings. Enjoy views of Durban inland or the mountains in the distance. On clear sky days, you can even catch a glimpse of the sunset. Access the rooftop via the lift which is near your apartment or the stairs. You will have an undercover parking bay. Free roadside parking is also available just outside the building where you can see it from the balcony or window. Security comprises burglar guards throughout the apartment and a smart lock on the door. 24 x 7 Security cameras with a guard monitoring access and cameras just outside your apartment. The Zone Umhlanga enjoys being in easy reach of the amenities of Umhlanga. The beach is a short 6-minute drive down the road. Also in the area are numerous restaurants, bistros, cafes and takeaways. Separating the two bedrooms you will find the luxurious bathroom which comprises a toilet, large shower and washbasin. There may be some roadside noise of vehicles driving past. There’s a brilliant app which outlines any upcoming/cancelled loadshedding. It’s called EskomSePush & allows you to track multiple areas so it’s definitely beneficial for use in all areas across South Africa. The app will ask you to enter the area, please search and select Mount Edgecombe Estate East, Zone 12B. Please come prepared for loadshedding as the property is self-catering. We hope this helps to make your visit more enjoyable. Please also note that Durban experiences water outages at times. During these outages, we are able to supply you with bottles of 5L water. All guests staying will be required to provide identification before check-in. TOWELS & LINENS Please avoid staining towels and bedding — especially with makeup, food, or other products. Your care is appreciated. SMOKING This is a strictly non-smoking property, including vapes and e-cigarettes. A R3000 fine applies if this rule is broken, plus any costs due to lost bookings. QUIET HOURS Quiet time is from 10 PM to 8 AM. Noise disturbances that require security intervention will incur a R1500 fine per call-out. Please be mindful of noise levels when entering and exiting the building and while in the common areas. To ensure a peaceful environment for all residents, we kindly ask that you keep conversations at a considerate volume. Please be advised that complaints from other residents regarding excessive noise may result in a fine of R1500. WHAT TO BRING We provide bed linen, towels, and a starter toilet paper pack. Please bring your own toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel), paper towels, and any personal cleaning products. Check our amenities list for full details. This is situated on the top floor of the apartment you can either access it via the lift which is near your apartment or the stairs. It has unobstructed 360-degree views of its surrounding with views of Durban inland and the mountains in the distance. When it’s not cloudy you can catch a glimpse of the sunset from the rooftop.

This was my second time staying at Ushir’s apartment in Umhlanga, and once again it was an excellent experience. The place is spacious, squeaky clean, and great value for money. The location is hard to beat — just a short walk to Gateway Mall, in a peaceful and very safe neighbourhood with great security. It’s also an easy 15-minute drive to the Durban ICC, which made it perfect while attending the CPHIA 2025 Conference. Ushir is a friendly, organised, and professional host who makes the whole stay effortless. This apartment is ideal for business travellers who need quick access to meetings in town but also want a quiet, relaxing space to unwind afterwards. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back again.

I had the pleasure of staying at Green Diamond for 8 days, and it was an excellent experience. The apartment is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere the moment you step in. It’s fully equipped with everything you’d need for a longer stay, making it feel just like home. The beds were large, extremely comfortable, and dressed in crisp white linen, which made for a great night’s sleep every night. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained throughout. The location is fantastic – within walking distance to Gateway Shopping Centre and plenty of great restaurants, which made exploring the area both easy and enjoyable. What really stood out was the host – friendly, warm, and always available to assist whenever needed. Their hospitality made the stay even more special. Overall, I highly recommend Green Diamond to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay. I’d definitely return!
